Parts That Weigh a Ton, But You Still Love 'em

Saint M800 derailleur.
The special 10mm Thru axle was only sold with the Saint hub. So NLA. ( the ones on Ebay are all too short)
The Saint hub only takes the oversized spline Saint Centerlock rotor, also NLA.
Rapid Rise, no 9 speed RR shifters.
I own a few of these. They're cheap, and NOS because no bikes exist that they actually fit.
The reputation these have is you will break the bike, or yourself before you break one of these.
I want one on my Ebike. I just have to fabricate my own 1.00x 10mm axle to use it. Rapid Rise 8s =perfect,SS cage=perfect. Crash rated=perfect.

Runner up- The Dicsus.
Shimano Cs-M5100 11-51t cassette.
It looks good on paper. As a paper weight. The weight isn't listed on the spec.sheet. (660g.)
This was on my XC bike for about 5 minutes before it got tossed. Replaced by a 265g 11-42t.

DMR v8 pedals - around 560g pair for the older ones. Absolute bricks.
Marzocchi Bomber mx comp air circa 2003/2004. About 2.2 kg with cut steerer, on a 1.5kg Easton Elite frame... gave a heavy front-end but alot of fun.

Salsa stem and chromo bars (thanks again @narcotitlan for the bars). Aside from the cult factor, I love the bomb proof feeling the stems give when the going gets rough. My Marin roller stem, despite being 1 1/8", does flex a lot more (and is about 100g lighter). Bars also have the perfect sweep.



800g all in. Might as well mount a Bullmoose
