BMW Super-Tech FS 1997 – Need Front + Rear Suspension parts (serial 038503)

BMW Super-Tech FS 1997

Hi everyone,
I recently acquired a BMW Super-Tech FS frame (serial 038503). Unfortunately, both the **front suspension fork** and the **rear shock** are missing.

I'd really appreciate any info on:
– What forks originally came with this model?
– Specs for the rear shock (eye-to-eye length, mounting hardware)?
– If anyone has parts for sale or knows where to find them.

Also, if aftermarket solutions are possible (e.g. compatible rear shocks or forks), I'd be happy with that too.

You might be able to get away with a trunnion mount shock on the front due to the mounting point, no idea what i2i or size you'd need at either end though. Older trunnion shocks I know of are rock shox deluxe (coil) and you could match with a standard coil on the rear, similarly air shocks from fox and manitou, risse as well.

Mounting hardware would really depend on the shock.

I guess that's BMW's take on a MTB application of their telelever front end.

There had been two variants
one using coil spring,


and the better one with oil/air suspenion from Paioli.


A guy in Germany have offered quite some stuff in 2022 in the German classic bike forum, maybe he has still some stuff left?
