I bought this to use as a ‘Pub Bike’ but realistically it’s just too good for that and needs to be appreciated.

Labelled as a Cougar which was the initial branding in the the late 70s for bikes built by renowned frame builder Terry Dolan. This company morphed into Dolan bikes. As a frame builder Dolan is highly respected and has built bikes for many a professional cyclist. This bike is labelled as Columbus SLX tubing and coming in complete as per photos at 10.4kg I have no reason to doubt that this is a genuine model.

Top tube centres are 55cm and I’m just under 180cm riding it as seen.

Crankset/ front and rear derailleur/ brakes / hubs all Shimano 600 Tricolor. I have the original 600 Tricolor downtube shifters and brake levers ( will go with the bike) but replaced them with these (RSX?) levers for an 8 x 2 set up. 52/42-12/24

The hoops are handbuilt ‘Pete Matthew’s’ Pianni wheels. Tyres 700x23 Schwalbe Lugano

Pedals on there are Maillard which are period and I find work well with trainers but I can probably find a decent pair of 105 period toe strap type to replace. The saddle is my preference ( and it works in white) but I have a period saddle ( black ) if preferred.

Collection only! I’m looking for a happy buyer who’s seen and ridden the bike

Located Southsea UK
Anyone wanting to get a nice complete retro ride £275
