Confusing myself: 10mm rear QR axle converter?

I've rather rashly ordered a 26" Mavic Crossride rear wheel which has a 10 x 135mm rear hub. Online research, including of Mavic's own tech specs, is confusing as to what kind of adaptor (if any?) is needed to use this on an MTB which takes a 9mm QR skewer. Surely you'd need to lose 1mm from the skewer diameter for it to fit?

Here's a pic from Mavic's website, showing what looks like a fatter axle.

Has anyone got hands-on experience of this issue? Or am I just fretting about a non-issue?

Vintage British kit was often 3/8" rear.
Slightly over 9.5mm
Occasionally you'll find a dropout too tight for 10mm.
S-A 13/32", 10.3mm😆

Campag and others made 9.5mm rear axles, but with a different pitch obvs.🙄
