Great news. Ebay drops seller charges!

I listed a bunch of stuff at the weekend and didn't see the custom postage option, will look more closely next time to see if it's still there for me.

The thing that irks me the most at the moment is the buyer protection fee, as it's making it hard for items to be listed at an appealing price, say £10 for instance - instead it'll show as £11.42 or something daft.

Also if an item is listed with offers, then the buyers mindset goes to "I only want to pay £10 INCLUDING the buyer protection fee, so they make an adjusted offer of £8.62 or something to get to that number. You receive notification of an offer for £10 but in reality you're only getting £8.62.

I get that its no different to having seller fees previously, but at least with that system you could quite easily work out what you'd actually receive.

I used to offer free postage a fair amount, but now as buyers are knocking sellers in order to cover the buyer fee, then I'm charging for postage.

So, continuing on from post 270, postman Pat arrived earlier to deliver one package and collect 2 others. He didn't realise he was collecting until I asked him to look on his thingymajig, which confirmed he was.
He didn't have labels despite what eBay said, so the 'simplest' solution for me now is to just get a printer, or a £40+ cartridge for the one I've already got.
This entire system is a poor solution to a problem that didn't exist.

You can see the fee which the buyer is charged when you are pricing so you can adjust your figure down/up to make the total a nice round number should you wish.
