Hmmmmmm, can't really see the point myself. Having had a couple of gravel bikes which gave way to an XC hardtail which in turn has morphed in to an XC full suss I think there's a definite cross over point where an actual mountain bike just makes more sense.
IMO the fun of a gravel bike is the simplicity, weight and ability to cross from road to light off road without worry. Adding complexity and weight sort of goes against the point. I guess it's for the roadie that wouldn't be seen dead in baggies and with a flat bar?
