Help with Marin frame numbers please!

Marin road is not my area, but that frame design isn't like a marin ive seen in the past. Looks more saracen in design.
Must admit the early 90's machine have similar ending on the top tube but they seem to use a loose seat clamp arrangement

Apologies, not the best picture, but it reads MJ4AAC035. It's on a frame/fork set I bought that was described as a "mid 90s Indian Fire Trail". I would be very grateful if anyone could confirm? Cheers!

Might be wrong place to ask, but I recently bought a Marin Bolinas Ridge which I believe is from 1998 as it has v-brakes, 3x7 gearing and ahead headset.

Serial says F08LSD040 so from the thread I guess this is from 1998 and frame size is 19"?

I have had this same bike when I was a kid, but I am not sure if I bought it in - 98 or -99. Quite sure it was - 98, anyway the price was 2100FIM which is like 350€. I used all my savings for the bike at the time, and now I am planning to either restore or retromod this. Maybe even open a build thread here.

Had my Muirwoods since new. Pretty sure I bought it in late 1989. Has the older Exage Country 18 speed gear train with thumb shifter. It is in the Neon Lime Yellow and 17" frame. The serial number seems to be T905 50126. Made in Taiwan (hence the T which I think was a generic catch all), 9 for 1989, 05 for May. Think the 5012 is just a sequential counter or perhaps in there is a number code for the frame size? And then the 6 for Muirwoods. That's my guess anyway. The Velo VL-157 saddle is also stamped May 1989. Hope it helps. BottomBracket.webp
