Advice on buying first vintage road bike?

OK, back from holiday, and taking a closer look at the Cilo. As shown in the photo, it fits a rider that’s 5”11’ with an 84 cm PBH. The bike is about 40 minutes from where I live…worth taking a look?

I'm 185cm tall, 87cm PBH and ride 59-62cm (ctc) bikes, with longer stems (12-13cm).

That Cilo looks too small for someone 180cm (5'11"), unless one's arms are quite short. But who am I to determine comfort - I prefer to stretch out, others may want to sit more upright. Tallest vs smallest for me below. even with 27" wheels on the 62cm PX10, the standover is the same as my PBH.

I'm 1m80 and ride bikes 54 to 56 cm with a 130 stem.

The price is not my business, but remember it's a buyer's market so haggle hard if you want it. He'll have a bigger job selling than you have buying

i am partial to stocking michelin lithion 3 25c

i changed a stumpjumper to drop bars and slicks many moons ago and rode centuries on it.
559x25?😬

We are seeing low trade offers on (700×) 25s and narrower, looks like nobody else is buying them.

I suspect most brands will not produce a new batch - it will be like 27 x 1&1/4 (630s) are now.
You will probably still be able to find quality, but there won't be a great deal of choice.

Been looking at various classic bikes for sale on the net . As we know very little is selling . Some lovely machines, one nice hand built one has been relisted three times already .
I wondered how much demographics is effecting the market . Many classic marques mean little to most cyclists under say 25 .
Was not the Raleigh bomber an early version of a gravel bike ,what ever that is .
How long can the marketing folk keep coming up with more bull$hit on the latest must haves .
The basic concept of the safety has changed little other than the material it is made from .
