Alsop En Le Dale
The Church of St. Michael and All Angels is of Norman origin, but was restored in the 19th century. The church serves the hamlets of Alsop Moor, Cold Eaton and Newton Grange.

The view of many: "Ignorant zeal has greatly harmed our ecclesiastical inheritance." Much was lost during the Victorian's surge to "restore" churches. A view I support. Sorry.

Two more Sussex churches at the foot of the South Downs, built in the typical flint-faced style found in this area. Both are mainly 13/14th century. First St Andrew's in Edburton (which is literally just a couple of houses) and second Holy Trinity in Poynings.
