    Always preferred the full smokey finish of the Apex. Guess I had a bargain last year on a 1991 Axis, recently listed £65 BIN! Only had tyres, saddle, stem replaced, shortened bars but little used.

    I am no Scott expert, but I think the decals were added later, they look more mid nineties. Scott did tig joining at least from 1988. Interesting lugged frame, top tube routing suggests around about 1992, end of the lugged era. Good find👌
