    97 Xizang

Re:    wow, that is amazing. In my opinion you should rather stick to those decals (and add a '98 SID to the front ). I really hope that one day I come across one of those or a Zaskar in such a good condition :D Ciao Mathias

2012 Specialized Stumpjumper FSR - with a slice of lime :)

It's been a year since I last posted here  but at least I managed to check of some items of my list :D done: upgrade discs from 180/160 to 200/180 done: new pedals, now with VP VX Trail Race to do: cut down the bar to 70 or 68 cm or rather replace with Control Tech CLS to do: Nobby Nics...

    Dablk's 1997 Kona U'I

Re: In fact the Fox in mine was just a spring with a little oil damping I guess - and you could adjust the spring Tension (should be set up according to the riders weight which I never did ) Years back I sourced a Monarch for a few €s in Germany but unfortunately it was too long so I...

    Dablk's 1997 Kona U'I

Re: How much more basic does it get than a Fox Vanilla rear shock  but I have to admit I did not check the catalogue and compare the two. I think you could also mount a shock like a Monarch as long as it is 165mm Edit: alright, I looked into the catalogue, you're right - the U'I was lower...

    Dablk's 1997 Kona U'I

Re: You could probably go for STX or even lower, I had a '97 Manomano with LX on the rear and (I think) the front mech was STX. Besides forks and colour I haven't spotted huge diffences between U'I and Manomano  Mathias

    "Bash guard" for FC-M739

Re: They have 5 bolts, sorry, I forgot to mention that. That's the bike in question (now with a real rear tire and SIDs instead of the Indys :P)

    "Bash guard" for FC-M739

Dear all, I'd like to mount some sort of bash guard to my commuter bike (not to protect the chainrings but to keep the trousers away from them), but I'm not sure which one - can anybody tell me whether one of those would fit? https://www.bike-components.de/en/Chain ... urer_id=29 Thanks in...

    2001 GT Zaskar re-build

Re: If it's burnished it's like any Zaskar (don't get me wrong, I'm just waiting for a '97 M-sized frame to pop up for sale :D) but that finish would make it unique. The question is whether it stays like this or if it gets shiny from heel rub etc. Especially the black parts would IMHO go better...
