No, the rims are completely smooth. They're weinmann rims on a raleigh record sprint. No hooks at all. So try again at a lower pressure!? The old tyres that came off didn't seem special, but I didn't take a great deal of notice

Have I missed something? A second tube has blown because the tyre has bulged and come off the rim. I assumed it was the original old tyres on the bike that had perished, but it has a new set, and new tubes and it's burst again. Everything looked seated and fine at about 60psi, at 100psi I left...

He wanted 100, I was struggling to justify that. I messaged him and he said he's been advised to accept no less than 200! I told him 100 was more than I thought I should pay. 200 wasn't happening. Guess I'll leave that one at that.

I'm pretty new too aging and identifying frames. It's hit and miss with me! I know when a frame looks nice and when there is some quality work. But passed a bit of go ogling I still need to learn a lot! It's a mix match of things, only the frame is of any interest really. I think he wants too...

I've seen this on a Facebook page locally. There's no parts on it that are genuine or quality as I can see, but as a frame it looks quite nice. A little large for, me but can anyone identify it any further? There is the faded Mark of and old Whitcomb sticker on the frame but nothing else.

I have that problem. I think it was 13 different brands are around here somewhere. Maybe 5 are rideable :twisted:

Aha! How could I not find an advert?! I found one for everything else! The only reference was when Dervla Murphy rode one to India. I'll put it on the "to do" list. :-) One of the others may have to go :-(

I've bought an Armstrong cadet. I'm going by what's written on the frame! The usual go ogling is bringing up every name but cadet in the armstrong range. I'm trying to fingers some information on it before I decide what to do. I'm under pressure to reduce the amount of bikes/frames/parts about...
