I think you are thinking of the SS5, these have the holes under the logo sticker and some had the rubber covers They were OE fitment on clockworks of the period

Picked this up locally rusted up. Got lucky as inside the tubes is perfect, just surface rust lifted the paint. Came to me with all original kit, Deore DX and RX100. Flat bar converted with period XT STI. 250W TSDZ2 mid mount torque sensing motor. These are really superb. Gets me to work and...
