Hi - I'm after a rim that would suit a front Sturmey Archer Dyno hub (1948) so I can build up with new spokes - the rim it's on is so corroded it's no worth keeping but the hub is lovely. Thanks 👍
Help please. Do you know what spokes I should be trying to order for a Dyno hub front and rear wheel build 26 inch rim? I think I've found some 26inch new old rims but not sure what spokes to order so I can set up the original hubs onto new rims and spokes - thanks.
Thanks for your advice folks. Fork Crown Race popped off no problem once tapped. Got it so can replace. Taking the black paint of most stuff is revealing not much chrome other than the rear rim which is a German Schurmann O55 26 and 1-3/8 rim. The front rim is corroded and pretty done in so...
One other question ❓- will this fork crown race at the bottom need to be tapped out or would it have been part of the forks ? It seems to be a kind of copper colour but not sure if it would have been part of the fork - surely not ?? Thanks.
I came across this stamp on the rear dropout which looks to be SS33331 just wondering if that is just a production run number or linked to some kind of date ?? Thanks
Blimey that's amazing information. I certainly wouldn't have worked that out on Google. Thanks for that. The handle bars are steel and not chromed. I wondered what the bolt holes were on the rear chain stay near the drops. And I could not find a 1950s Hercules with the stem that's on here. Ok...
Hello - I'm just after some help with an ID on this project I'm busy working on. It was unnamed with Sturmey Archer Dyno hubs dated 1948 and 1951 and then I found a HURCULES MADE IN ENNGLAND stamped on the B/B after cleaning garage grease from it for ages. Did Hurcules do bikes with Dyno hubs or...
Hi - I can work out some postage costs. I'm hoping not too expensive. Ahhh yeah I've got pics of the chain stay it has took some impact. I'll get a few close up pics of that for you.
