She's complete! A bit of tweaking on the riding position but otherwise rides sweet.

A couple of pairs of Tektro canti's from back in the day. Deliberately unwashed to show their condition i.e. not cleaned for photogenic appeal Nothing seized, there's even meat on the pads £10 per wheel...

The shifters are 105 10 speed and cassette is SLX 10 speed. The mech is a 10/11 speed Deore M4120. Sounds like I need to go shopping for a 9 speed mech!

Ahhh - the Saracen Traverse. Fond memories of hacking around the Peaks on mine back in the late 80's. Bought from what is now the North West Mountain Bike Centre in Cheadle. Sad to say after hanging onto the frameset years after upgrading it when to the bike shop in the sky long before...

Yeah - could be. I went a little shorter on the stem to avoid being too stretched out. Will see when I get riding. Not long now!

I'm late to the party but that's a great build. I've opted to leave the frame and decals as is on mine. Anybody had any luck replicating the matt, flat orange original paint finish?

Pulled this beauty out of the shed - couldn't bear to part with her. Now to rebuild.....
