Thanks. I'd initially guessed it was Raleigh - my friend picked it up when he was doing a PhD at Nottingham and the cable guide underneath the BB says Raleigh. But I googled the serial number (63205) and it didn't seem to tie with the formats that Raleigh apparently used back then.
I've dated...
I have an old road frame and forks (no idea of maker) which I'm happy to give to anyone willing to pick up from Haywards Heath, Sussex. I've attached a few photos.
It was a barn find - a friend was going to take it to the skip (he hadn't ridden it since university and it had been sat in one of...
Thanks for the extra photos.
I know MTBs are supposed to be covered in mud  but it is a bit hard to see the condition of the bike - hard to tell what the mud is hiding (e.g. around the headset).
Good question.
I guess I'm looking at it from the point of view of just being able to ride it. I've got an old Marin which I'm umming and aahing about getting sprayed, new decals, etc. So I'm looking at something I can just ride and enjoy - I don't want or need another project - and something...

So, once my retro single speed road bike project is back together (so I have a pub bike - more realistically, a taking the eldest to footie practice on a Saturday morning bike) then next step is to...
Re: Orange P7 19 inch **** reduced*****
Actually - scrap that - I am VERY tempted but CAN'T face the wrath of SWMBO at the moment. I need to finish a couple of current projects and have a cull of the bike shed/man cave before buying anything else.
Re: Orange P7 19 inch **** reduced*****
I'm getting very tempted with it. Just need to think a little to decide whether I can risk the wrath of SWMBO ...
Good tip - thanks.
Is that the North Camp on the south side of Farnborough? My company has an office in Farnborough which I work from occasionally. I could find a good excuse to pop over there and drop the bike off / pick it up while I'm there.
Pics will be posted at the weekend (I'm not...
