Re:
Great tips there BigBlock. Thanks
Spiders? Agreed, I am certainly wary but not necessarily scared as I can usually hear them coming. The fact they are about 4 feet across, wear a lot of studded leather and heavy boots makes them pretty easy to spot as well.
One Eyed Jim - Japanese....that's what I was hoping to hear! Not sure it's Centurion but I kept thinking it was Japanese and the serial beginning M (suggesting the Merida factory as well perhaps?) seemed to support this. I was given some conflicting advice here though so went chasing red...
Hi All
Over in Melbourne at the moment and salvaged this lightweight tourer with shimano 600 chainset and lots of japanese components.
Everything shimano is date stamped for '78.
Any ideas who the maker is??

My ad on ebay:
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/131838914531
I gave up smoking a week ago (it's just sooo 2015) so still a bit discombobulated and have written a rubbish ad but.....
It's very rare and I will update the ad when my brain reappears.
Thanks
Sully
Re:
Great idea!
Here is what I suspect to be a 40's CB frame:

Frame Number: 2101147
Would love to get confirmation and heaven forbid, a build year!

Probably not quite as clean as it appears in the photos but no chips and just some light scratches. Love these!
Re:
Sorry, no.
It's not really my speciality but just fell in love with that one.
There is a guy on ebay though......let me see if I can find a link and I'll PM you or just drop it back in this thread.

Will update pics tomorrow but realised this is a thread about watching paint dry so don't want to over excite you.
