sure you can use shimano 8 speed without problems. you may want to sand of the markings though for the top one or it will look odd

my bike is finished apart from the decals but i may leave them off as i like the simple lines it gives
Well i'll see what arrives but i hope to be getting a couple of sets of everything the guy has. Happy to make them available to someone to get them scanned if they are returned
Well its almost there after nearly two years :oops:
still need to tidy up the cables and put the decals on. Have managed to get some NOS decals from the states and these should be with me in a week or so.

My god you must be psychic. My wides mate came round tonight as she's having a crisis. I was banished from the house and have finally finished the bike. The brakes have only been on and waiting to be cabled up for 12 months lol. Got a few bits to fettle with and a new stem and headset to go on...
