This bike is a prime candidate for a project bike. Price is now £25 it's serial number is 13687 so is a 1987 bike 56cm by 56cm bike 2*6 speed Mix of Shimano and Suntour parts with Mavic 700c wheels as built by Mercian (MA40). The original brake hoods have perished but I am throwing in a pair...

Looks fantastic. you've one a great job. You might want to have the brake cables in front of the bars and shorten them a bit. I can imagine as you ride, the cables will hit the hands. Still fab though. I paid Mercian prices recently and Argus look better (and a lot cheaper!)
