    Modern groupset choice ….

I’ve run a few iterations of Ultegra di2 and it’s never let me down. I think you made the right call.

    ** Pipedream Moxie Longer **

Pretty sure this’ll be awesome. I’ve been on a Full Moxie for the past year and it’s been amazing. Still getting used to the length - it needs a lot of movement to keep my weight over the front - but it’s great fun, looks amazing, and rides great 👍

When do you think we reached "peak" mtb?

I’m also interested to see when people think was “nadir” mtb. There seems to have been a terrible dip when 29er appeared, geometry was balls, and suspension sucked.

Wanted Marzocchi Z2 BAM brake bosses and seal help

Yeah, I was in the same boat and the good doctor sorted me out 👍

Anyone else gone to the dark side? Confession: I’ve just bought a 29er..

Its a Pipedream Full Moxie - small Scottish company who seem to specialise in the slightly ridiculous.

Anyone else gone to the dark side? Confession: I’ve just bought a 29er..

Me too, but stuck with steel after going through a few carbon frames recently. This thing eats the kind of thing that’d kill me on a 26er!

New bikes are Huuuge! Zaskar trigger warning!

Yeah, realising that the bar on my 26er Zaskar is at the same height as as the fork crown on my 29er Full Moxie was a bit horrifying. The old bike is hugely fun and agile and cool, but damn the new one is fast.

    Titanium mtb frame identification

Yeah, what I'm seeing on the chainstays might just be chunky external butting before they start to taper towards the dropout.

    Titanium mtb frame identification

Hi guys, I picked up this frame the other day and was hoping someone could help me ID it. It was sold to me as "probably a Mongoose", apparently made by Sandvik, so it may be but I have no idea. Photos below showing what seem to be the key characteristics... The front half of the downtube is...

    Early GT Xizang

I’m in New Zealand so you can all take your complaints, get in yer cars, and go pick up that damn bike.

    Swallow barn find

Oh man, thanks for that - not my greatest moment in bike archaeology :D But where the hell is the model name on old Campy gear then?!

    Swallow barn find

Not much I can say about this that the photos won't answer! An amazing find here in New Zealand - a Swallow in Reynolds 753 built with Dura Ace and Campy Brev Int throughout. It is in extraordinarily good condition, aside from wear at the join on the front rim, a few tiny spots of rust, and a...

    Xizang - why the name?

His mate annexed it and it’s now called the Xizang Autonomous Bike.

    Xizang - why the name?

I recently picked up a 98 GT Xizang and for the first time started wondering about the name, and as far as I can tell it’s the Chinese name for Tibet, which the Chinese government at least calls the Xizang Autonomous Region (see...
