strictly speaking you should put Critical Racing on there - but I'm using those on my ARC and only have 1 bikes worth 🥲
And I'm not sure I'd ever find a Critical Racing seat post and stem to match the brakes so will probably go Ringle, Cooks and maybe Grafton.
I've also got some Magura's to...
Apparently the Screaming V was a joint project between GT and Mantis which is why the thermoplastic construction will look very similar to the GT STS bikes.
There was another thermoplastic bike that I'm aware of that pre-dated both the Mantis and GT and that was the Yeti built for Paul Tracy...
Certainly steel and aluminium models around - very few thermoplastic ones as these were very late in the Mantis timeline and post the sale.
The attraction for me personally was that it was a little ad in the back of MBi or MBA that listed the elusive Screaming V - but I have never seen one in...

Which was bonkers considering what they cost - but they were pretty cutting edge tech in 92 versus what most of us...
Got some cool shit to hang off this 🕺
First off a NOS Ringle Moby 😍
Also have most of the other parts ready to go, tho I think I’m going to get Dan to machine a relief groove into the King headset cups before I fit the headset.
It’s basically a shallow machined groove, about 2x0.5mm wide into...
And good to see the CycleArt custom paint decal is still on there.
This frame was on display in Bromley Bike in 92, then bought by the guy I got it from in 93. He didn’t really know why it had a custom paint job but it’s the original paint from 92 when he first drooled over it and 93 when when...
Back in my happy place
Building an ARC 😍
Al at Fat had this for a long long time and just couldn’t fit it in - @jonrock came up trumps instead - super pleased with how this has turned out
