I need a new stem to replace this (as its way too long) there doesn't seem to be many threaded stems with 24.5 steerer fitments. plus, I'd like to raise the bars (so I'm looking for a riser stem)...which makes things rarer again. I could obviously fit a 28.6 stem (with a shim)...but I it will...

The adjustables might be a good call long therm. Like a quill stem, they are nice to adjust mid tour (when your neck etc stars to ache)

I plan to tour / bike pack on it so I wasn't overly concerned about the bigger frame size. It's not currently a quill stem.

I usual ride a 54cm (effective top tube) with a 12cm regular stem (-6 maybe)? I have a new (old) bike that has a 58 effective top tube. However rid like to raise the bars about 4cm What degree riser stem and how long should it be to achieve the 66cm length I like. Also, it's a 1" fork...

I race cyclo-cross and for years I was spraying wd40 or gt85 onto things like cables, canti brakes, headsets and derailleurs after cleaning. However I now know these sprays strip away grease. So, is there a spray that repells moisture, offers a little lubricant and isn't detrimental to...

White grease spray.... somebody recommend i should now lube the shifters (after all that WD40 / GT85 But after a quick Google, some seem to say white grease can harden and clog up things like shifters. What to do for the best?
