Mont 24 hour
Hey guys, I know this thread is pretty old but I was wondering if anyone here is going to be doing the Mont 24hour race in April? I'm going and most likely riding a proflex. Would be nice to see some other retro bikers down there!
Hi guys,
I posted this over on the idriders forum as well but there's not nearly as much action as on this forum.
I am planning on entering a 24 hour race next April and am using that as an excuse to buy another proflex. I plan to build it up with light components to get in under the 24 lb...
Does anyone here have a santa cruz tazmon frame they'd be willing to aprt with? I am looking for a few bikes at the moment (some of you may have seen my proflex 953 wanted add before) and this would be lovely.
cheers
Hi guys,
I have been after a proflex 953 frame + fork for ages after I stupidly forgot to bid on one on ebay about 6 months ago.
If you are in Australia and know of one for sale, or are willing to send to Australia then please contact me :)
cheers
Well I didn't win the auction anyway guys. It was for an all orginal proflex animal with the HED carbon mountain discs. It went for just over 500 and my max was 450.
I have my eye on a 957 at the moment as well.
Thanks for the ideas guys!
FMJ your offer is very generous but I'm only going to be there for 3 weeks and moving around quite a bit so that might not be the best solution.
I might try and email some local bike stores and see what they say.
Hi Guys,
I am currently considering buying a bike I have been after for years from America which I saw on ebay. I live in Australia and the costs of sending a bike here from the US is apparently phenomenal due to our rather small parcel size limit. (Between US$300-500).
I am going to be in...
Gday,
Alreayd introduced myself elsewhere but will do it again :D
I'm in the Blue Mountains. Mostly ride offroad on the many trails round here. Have two proflexes.
Ocassionally get out on my roadies too.
ok well if that doesn't work out, let me know? Would you be able to box it and sent to Syndey, Australia? I have been looking for these forks for years over here. No such luck.
yeah. It gets pretty lonely out on the cold trails this time of year. Have you guys heard of the Oaks trail? That's where I see most other riders. My local 10km I'd be lucky to see another rider once every two weeks.
Sounds good to me, would be nice to ride with someone who appreicates these old bikes.
I get so excited to see other old bikes out on the trails and most of the time the owner has some bewildered look on their face as to why I think their old junker is so fantastic
Hi,
I have been after some lawwill leaders for a long time and have had no luck in Australia. Just wondering if anyone would be willing to send some down under?
Prefer working condition and 1 1/8" but will consider otherwise.
cheers
