I run a set on my '97 Hot and would say they are "adequate" for my application : paved shoulders , gravel roads & bike paths. a little skinny for any serious off road riding, imo. if you're looking to sell them , shoot me some pics and just might shoot you an offer...;)

can a guy use a front chainring designed for 9 speed w/an 8 speed rear cassette? am assuming it should work, just wondering if it will affect performance somehow?
