    Seat post was well and truly stuck!! I have removed it now, top of frame has suffered scorch marks, but needed repainting anyway.

    Thank you danson67, all tyres are now off. Rich34 - I want to keep it as original as possible, and I won't be able to ride it anyway, its a vintage childs tricycle. It is a restoration for the love of old bikes! :)
