i've fitted some old deore v brakes to a 1991 alpinestars cro-mega. they went on okay but there seems to be play even when the caliper bolt is tight, seems like the frame boss is too long. can this be packed off with washers or are the old v brakes i have missing a spacer or something. this...

i used to have a 92 lavadome in purple. as i remember i think the lavadomes were butted tubes and the cindercones were double butted. i think i have an old brochure at home so i'll check. aint there any into on the archieve pages?
