    Expanding seat post!!!!!

Hello all, I have an steel bike made by Clive Bonavia without a seat clamp. I am told that at one time expandable seat posts were available. I can't seem to find one on line for a 27.2 reynolds 753 frame. Anybody have any ideas where I can get one. The current seatpost is gummed in! Cheers Pete

Re: Hi Mark, Thanks for the great comments. The bike has now done a few hundred miles and is the go to bike as it just feels a dream. I have done 3 Eroica Britannia's (100, 50, 100 miles) and an Eroica California (127 miles) on it. And thanks to both you and Shaun and the many generous...

Re: Thanks Rusty Bodie, So you think it is d from around 88/89. The only images that I can see suggest around that time. Where did you sell the frames? What was their price? I have since stripped the forks which are chrome and in very good nick.

    Concorde Squadra???

Hello everyone, I picked this lovely bike up recently which I am looking to restore. There is very little info on the net to confirm the exact model. It looks like a Squadra which has had a custom paint job. The forks are chrome and it has Campag dropouts and the typical pantographs. Does...

    Puzzled about Peugeot.

Re: Thanks for your views. Its a mystery. The weight is a bit heavier my Bonavia 57cm 531c frame and a bit lighter than a 531 Holdsworth 56cm frame. The way the bb was a little corroded and seized, would suggest it was original (maybe) and that is dated coded 1987. All the other parts are...

    Puzzled about Peugeot.

Re: Hi, I can't see any pink as most of the paint was already stripped. I did originally think it was an Athena 653, but couldn't be sure. Does the frame number give any clues? All the lugs and profile look very similar, but it came with an almost complete 105 (1050)groupset (including BB and...
