Seat post and stem arrived today which allowed me to get the seat and handlebars fitted. Got the derailleur cabled up and gears indexed. Shifts really nice with the short cage derailleur. Brakes on tomorrow hopefully.

Few more bits bolted on, waiting on an odd size seatpost and a 1 1/8 stem from bankrupt bike parts. Also had ago at resurrecting the pink stickers. I've not done the main bit just so you can see the difference.

Cheers mate 👍 weird really when I was a kid I loved my bmx bikes, raleigh burner, hoffman and haro but I'm abit long in the tooth for a bmx now. But seeing some of these old mtbs with more modern gear on them really interested me.

Yeah seems that there is not alot of info on them but that seems to be the recurring memory of folk who worked in bike shops that sold them. Sad really but shit sticks. I remember as a kid that having a townsend bike was the same as owning hi-tec trainers 😄
