I am looking for a medium sized 17in Yeti ARC MTB frame in excellent condition (hardtail in turquise and yellow). Id love to build one of these. Im based in UK. Let me know if you have one for sale at a realistic price.

Re: Just had a thought, I could hacksaw most of the seatpost length down and lighten the bike further. Need to weigh it properly but I'm guessing it's under 24lbs

Re: Frame fits me fine, the bike is lovely to ride. Smaller would feel cramped. Bike is only in stand like that for the photo.

Re: Glad you like it. It's been a challenge getting everything working together as I wanted to keep my thumbies and 8 speed rather than 9. The front mech was another challenge as it needed to fit a slightly larger seat tube than the bracket was designed for but the dremel fixed that...

All parts are fitted and its been tested. Works great. Thought id share some pics of my Giant MCM2 XTR.

Re: What are my options for a decent braze on compatible 9 speed mech compatible with my xtr952 24/34/46t crank? Is it possible that a 34.9 would fit or am I wasting my time trying? What about bottom bracket mount? Or was there a dura ace clone of the XTR 953 front mech that was braze on and...

Re: I have just been able to measure the tube for the front mech and it's 35.4mm is the XTR mech available in this size?

Re: It is pretty flush and I have a dremel if it needs slight working. If a braze on front mech can fit through the tube and hold via 2 bolts through the middle then I'm sure a clamp can hold across the whole tube without issue.

Re: I have XT thumbies running as 8 speed. Can't stand sti or gripshift. Thumbies last forever and work every time, not to mention they are becoming valuable.

Re: Nothing wrong with a 953, what do you consider conventional mount? Clamp? That's what I'm trying to find.

Re: I think it's a 34.9 as my 31.9 didn't fit. I'm waiting for a proper tool to arrive to measure accurately.
