Thank you, I really appreciate your explanation. My fixed gear and my gravel bike are both 55cm ETT (and both have 'compact' geometry). If I opted for a 21 - 21.5" frame in a Galaxy or something with traditional geometry, the ETT is somewhat longer. I guess that's where stem length comes into play.

Thank you - does the potentially earlier date cause an issue with regards to parts availability? Part of the attraction for me was the simplicity - cup and cone hubs, serviceable headset etc. I thought the price was ok but I'm used to the increase in used bike prices over the last two years, so...
