It never had a BIN at all. I listed it with an starting bid of £200. It's all getting a bit exciting now though. I honestly have no expectation of what it'll go to. I'm quite touched, though, that it's causing such a stir. Glad others see in it what I do.
That's my bike! It is indeed early. Was built in 1984 for a chap in Dundee. It's built with 531 All Terrain tubing and has the widest fork crown you've ever seen! It's not really based on a road or touring frame but it's really early in the mountain bike's evolution so geometry is a bit cookie...
Sounds like your cartridge bearings are just a bit worn. There's not much else to go wrong with these hubs. If you can pull off the alloy spacers on the axle, exposing the bearings, you can tap the end of the axle with a hammer and a lump of wood and the axle will come out with one of the...
