I have acquired most of the bits now, the only question i still have, do i need the circlip inside the rear freehub that holds the inner most bearing in. I don't have one and don't know what size i need? Martin

i now that daytona, centaur, chorus and Record, even the current record are with a few minor issues compatible. Cost is the real issue though, a new record axle and freehub is almost as much as a current generation record hub.

spoken to mercian and they don't have a freehub body, the freehub was never designed to be serviceable and has been superceeded. I have read that i can change the axle and use the current generation freehub body, but it won't be cheap.

Not sure if Daytona counts as retro but such is life. I am currently refurbing an old set of hubs, they need a new axle and end cap which i can source easily, the problem i have is the Freehub. I have managed to disassemble the freehub but in doing so the circlip is dead. Bearings are easy...

Anything is possible but i have had a good look at the rest of the frame and am fairly sure that the rest is OK. The problem tracks back to using an Easton CT2 seatpost which does not have a top cap. all sorts of crap could, and did, go down the seat tube.

piccies not very clear, the holes aren't very big but they are there and there are a few.

a while ago i had noticed a bubble on the seat tube of my Race, recently i noticed a few more. Did a bit more investigating, involving sanding the seat tube and was met with half a dozen holes where the frame has rusted through from the inside. The parts are being transferred to my Bonty...

I think it is 10degree could be 7degrees though, a bit battered but not to bad, i have a shim so it can be used as a 1" stem. comes complete with Cristalp stickers. £20????? posted or offers considered. If you want a photo i'll see what i can do.

Just doing a clear out, would anyone be interested? not a great deal of use, i can do photos if you want. It has BCDs for both Shimano and the old Suntour microdrive. Colour is Pewter? £4 posted or any offers.

Doing a clear out and found a set, not in mint condition, but the bearings seem ok and the retention plates aren't too badly worn. Would anyone be interested and any one got an offer for them? Not really sure how much they are worth, so any offer considered.
