This is very sad news. I did a few rides back in the early to mid 90's at Loftus in Sydney where John was the ride leader, mostly. I was not a local but did enjoy the 'Let's ride bikes!' chant as the kickoff term while we tried to figure out what this MTBing thing was all about, but fun it was...

Overcapitalising on bike build is hard to avoid but part of the whole process. Getting spendy can be fun until you total it all up :cool: Good luck with the build. You will learn a lot.

Errp, they are a bit low and I haven't really noticed. It feels comfortable which is the bottom line but does look a bit odd. I am surprisingly not even a outside chance for a position in any peloton either :cool:
