Well my plan on my oldschool bike (now with mk1 Crossmax wheels) is to reduce the spoke tension to relieve the old rims from extensive constant load. I am not riding it off-road anyway only use it on sunny, dry days for fun rides so the wheels don`t need to be super stiff.

Thank you everyone for your reply. I told the owner to do some NDT like penetrating dye to check if these are cracks or not. I will let you know if there will be any results.

Hi, I am about to buy a nice set of wheels with Mavic 217 SUP Ceramic rims. They look great but there are some strange hairline marks around the rims approx in their centerline. They appear mostly around the eyelets but some of them are in between. They certainly don`t look like classic eyelet...
