In theory - yes. In practice, HMRC have no problem bullying people into claiming that they owe them tax when they do not. And it's almost always a "guilty until proven innocent" approach that they take. Used to deal with them regularly when I worked as an accountant.

Hi All. Clearing the bike shed. Tap & Die set for M25x1 and M35x1 (French 😍 threads) for steerer and bottom bracket. Do a good job chasing threads and I used the M25x1 to tap a couple lockrings for Sheldon Brown-style threadless hack. £52 posted in UK tracked;
