50th scale has a Tom Ritchey 'tache.
100th scale is on a Road Logic.
I think I might need to get out more...

As for the designs, you could just print an image from the internet. I tend to redraw them so they work better at scale and I can create laser cutting paths to cut them out. Full size...

They're waterslide transfers. You can get the paper for them off eBay for a few quid, and print them using any desktop printer.

Exactly that. There is a diamond knurl pattern of the tread that would be obliterated by supports. Try to keep the supports somewhere that you can sand and fill without causing problems.
