Small update time @al sent the 700cx brifters, bloody lovely and thankyou! Comparison to the oder ones make them even better. Brakes and qrs had a quick sctub and brasso, not mint but much better. Chain and cassette have scrubbed up well. Wheels next......

i have some but cant remember which shifter wasnt great, ill rave them out tomorrow evening buddy

Diamond back had an alloy u brake frame in 88 iirc. Worth a check and comparison

To do.... Clean brakes, it's and chainset hardware. Found the 7 speed lx brifters, will check them after a clean with a cable fitted. Wheels are minging so hopefully clean the same a the rest.. chain and cassette will have to wait till later in yhe week

Box of cleaned bits and a dynatech seat qr, never new these existed. Presume it was a generic one. Paints peeled but cleaned up and works well.. mechs got a good scrubbing and feel tight and not worn at all, jockey wheels look new! Found a syncros post in 27.2 from Steve's parts stash, the...

Weight comparisons, shocking! Standard stem,bar and seatpost against zoom bar,stem and the orange hotrods. Will see what posts I have later, this one should be long enough..... And a dirty chainset before soaking

That's the plan at present, although I have a silver 1 inch zoom stem and orange hotrod bar that would feel amazing on gravel and weight alot less haha, I'll get them scales later and compare :)

Cleaned and had a quick furniture polish. Looks nicer in the sun and cleaned up well tbh. Stripped and cleaned the headset ready for reinstallation with fresh grease. Gonna have 5 minutes cleaning and checking the bottom bracket, span well so shouldn't be an issue.

Just stropped the original sti's I think they're just sticky and need some love and cleaning. I'll probably use the lx though. The handlebar and stem weights the same as a car so may swap for some alloy ones haha. Got some period zoom ones. Frames cleaned up well and I'll give it a quick polish...
