I need to replace the elastomers on mine - or better still, replace it with one of the new sprung units I've seen for sale. The elastomers are shocking (excuse the pun!)

Mine's definitely 28.0 - sorry I can't help on yours. Just looked on Bikepedia for the spec, but they only go back as far as 1993 so yours just misses out. I have posted a question about getting a Girvin Flexstem to fit if anyone can help? the link to my question is...

I've managed to find a new old stock Girvin Flexstem in as-new condition which I'd like to fit. But they are the old style 'wedge'...
Thanks for the comments! I'm really chuffed with the finish - particularly as it was done by hand with rattle-cans! Didn't expect it to come up so well. I highly recommend U-Pol lacquer - that stuff is awesome! Longun, I believe the seatpost is a 28.0, but I will check it tomorrow and let you know.
