quick release or allen key? ive got purple allen key version

my dad is only 5'11, seatpost is down for him, it needs removing ideally , plenty ways to do this. its a nice bike but my dad is to old for it now. its been hanging in his barn forever. i can get picks at weekend if interesred, its a ready to ride bike.

how about a late 80's diamond back, U brake (rear) steel. will need seatpost unstucking.... cambridge area., its my dads, i think its 22 or 24 inch frame.
