So. received and fitted the Magura 85mm suspension forks. Pictures updated here. Almost final build now - just need a 90mm stem. Went out for a good 2 h ride yesterday and it felt great, but it was a shock to go off road and down rocky descents on a hardtail again. I've only had a FS...

98/99 Sids would indeed look good. I've managed to get a set of 2010 Magura Menja 85mm forks with canti bosses are a really good price. I already run a set of 100mm versions on my FS and like them. It is also in keeping with my aim of taking a 15 year old frame and bringing it bang up to date...

yep, I'll try and do some tonight. Also got some suspension forks arriving soon and will post the final build then. Really looking forward to going on the next ride and leaving my FS bike at home.
