Bit of a long shot but does any have a decent condition M970 long cage rear mech that they have for sale, or would exchange for my existing one? Aside from a little scrape, it’s in perfect working order. I bought the whole lot brand new years ago and it hasn’t seen much use.
Mine is a short...
Sorry, just brought this thread back to life!
Snap! Built this about 15 years ago from the frame up. Made a few decisions I wouldn’t do again (blue gear cables, for instance) but it’s all top spec components (lots of Ritchey carbon and XTR throughout) and rides really nicely.
Looks like I've added the following since the last lot (to get it more modern and long-lasting):
M970 XTR SPDs
Hope Hoops Pro Evo 2 (with Mavic XC717 rims)
Avid Juicy Carbon calipers and 160mm rotors.
Oh, and ignore the saddle, I've been swapping them over lots to find one that works...
I'm not too knowledgeable about these but I want rid of my my modern road bike to replace with a 2000-onwards Klein. That way it'll look good next to the Klein MTB. I'll want to modernise it components-wise so figured bare frameset would be best. I assume the modern ones have standard...
Finished building the lovely modern Klein but got some crap Tioga Terra Firma steel beaded tyres on there at the moment and want to save some weight (and get more grip) by changing for a decent folding tyre that isn't too expensive.
I've read that Maxxis Ignitors are decent tyres and nice and...
I'm sure a while ago someone had some lovely modern Klein Attitude framesets for sale? I fancy having a spare in a different colour (my current one is Big Sky Blue (or something) and it'd be nice to swap them out for seasons etc.
Anyone got any with nice paintjobs?
Evening all,
Can anyone recommend a brake pad set for the Avid Juicy Carbon brakes? The official Avid ones are silly money! I can get pads for my Type-R for less!
They're knocking out sets by Clarks and EBC and people like that on eBay for less than a tenner. Anyone know if they're good...
Ok, the time came for me to go a bit more modern (Hope Hoops with discs) on the Klein so it's with a heavy heart that I have decided to give these wheels a new home.
Both were handbuilt (the rear by 'Cannondale King' [for me] but I'm not sure who built the front as I bought it from a user on...
