I'd like an Octalink 6500 triple in 170mm or perhaps a 170mm double. Have a pair of used but sound 6500 Octalink double cranks, some scratches and scuffs but all threads and splines are good. 175mm. No rings or bolts. Swap or buy?
Cheers

Budget is a good point. Not looking for something really cheap, or very rare/exclusive. Anything with nice tubing and lugs, or more recent TIG weld frames. Fair going rate for fair condition etc.
Brakes - Cantis are fine, centre-pulls are lovely, deep-drop calipers are OK too.
Wheels - if...

* dropout screws for chain tension /...
Re: Re:
Swap your silver 1 1/8 for my red 1 1/8? Would be a fair swap, yes. The red one I have has had some use but isn't scratched, bearings smooth, has been in a spares box for a long time.
Re:
I have a great cond 1 1/8" ahead original in red, swap for something else. Green, brown, black, turquoise?
Also a 1 1/8" silver ahead pretty much as new, fitted but under 500 miles on the bike it came off, that I'd swap for 1" silver ahead.

Hi
Possibly interested - could you confirm C-C top tube and C-T seat tube dimensions to be sure which size it is? Original 58cm spec looks good for me. Thanks
James
No rush, just a bump reminder : ) as it could be ideal.
Frame number might be useful also as Roberts could have the build spec on file (if you don't already have it)
Thanks - useful. I modelled the frame in BikeCAD and based on the head tube and top tube lengths given, plus those approx angles, the effective top tube length will be ~20mm too long for me. Works out around 590mm ETT or just over. I can send you a screen grab of the BikeCAD layout if it's of...
