    What width of tyre looks chunky?

    I'm doing up a 1994 Trek 850 at the moment and would like some chunky looking tyres on the 26" wheels. What kind of width would be good? I think the originals were 26 x 1.9 but the tubes don't hold air so i don't even know what they look like! Thanks!
