Its true! I think it was a waste of a bike before I knew actually what it was. On forums its hard to gauge if you do things correctly, but I just got on with it and I think with a few tweaks this will end up better and usuable for sure. Thanks for the comments appreciated:)👍

So Ive started to fit a few parts and it was hit and miss as the crank arms hit the bearing housing a few times. It was trial an error but the feel was the rings had to hit the bearing ring exactly so as I tightened the crank arm bolts it didnt crush/ bind on the bottom bracket. My question is...
