You'll be able to tell if its the classic or not: look around the dropouts for chrome where the quick release breaks the paint.

It's definitely not a 708 randonneur, I don't thinks it's one of the older ones either. I'm fairly sure they all had mid-blade rack mounts on the fork. Nice cranks though. I'm going to hazard a guess that it's something from this era that's been modified for cantis. Looks very like the Classic...

I think they might be the same as the xenon/mirage plastic ones. Plenty of broken shifters on eBay.
