I'm quite sure it was an XTR M950 : looking the following pictures of the XTR brakes springs are very similar to the Avid ones- GCD

I am not sure if was an XT spare ... it seems me more it was XTR . At this time it sound me strange but it worked : my friend was happy to follow using the brakes on another frame . Look on the Shimano catalogue for XTR ... maybe will help- GCD
