the first mantis x frame I rode was coming back from working the long beach bike show ,we stopped at cambria bikes en route to san francisco( in Slingshot bikes support van...lol!) test rode it & liked it so much ...that i ordered one the next time i saw richard..

I was the original owner many years back......richard built it for me in 89( actually rode it in durango & moab while at the 1990 world mtb championships)..it was originally black,the color of the frame changed many times.. green ,then pearl red & then finally the blue that it is...

So nice to see it finished in a proper way.....it sure beats the hell out of it hanging on my bikeroom wall where it was only appreciated by a few........& a topnotch build to boot! ( & having steve help finalize the finishing pieces is the icing on the cake) KUDOS!

The first bike show Nuke proof appeared @ is the Reno bike show (worked in conjunction w/ slingshot,they were nice enough to share the booth with me....right next to the trimble booth!) at that show I met Zap Espinosa (who immediately...
