    Rest in peace kaya

Really sorry to read this! I only met Vern once when he came up to Scotland to join one of our rides, but I can only echo what everyone else has said. He was a really friendly bloke and a joy to go for a ride with. We've lost a good one! His ride report is here.

1999 Santa Cruz Heckler in a box.

They both look awesome! Nice find btw. Hecklers are great bikes IMHO.

    Soul

🔨 Weird that the new forum software has a hammer emoji, but not a nail one! Perhaps it is lacking in soul? Anyway, just trying to say Velo has nailed it in the quote above. As for your Specialized comments Clubby, are you trying to fill the space vacated by Mikee or something? Quit with the...

BoTM BotM November 2021 - Non 26" wheels special (26"/24" combo permitted)

I would enter my Cleland but it's already been entered to a special month in 2012 I think, so is ineligible. Hopefully someone else has one they could enter. Maybe @GrahamJohnWallace has one lurking in a shed somewhere? ;)

BoTM BotM November 2021 - Non 26" wheels special (26"/24" combo permitted)

Most Clelands had 650B wheels. Cannondale had a 24/26. I'm sure there are others. Have to say I'm in agreement with Sinnerman on the first 2 bikes entered. Cool bikes both, but not 'mountain bikes' or anything even approaching that description. Sorry!

That's a shame! Cheers for the heads-up though. I'll keep an eye on mine. Just out of interest, what seatpost were you running?

    Pace RC104 Single-speed BritPart.

Just throwing up a wee thread since I have entered BoTM this month with my Pace. I bought this frame in late 2011/early 2012 I think, just before I discovered 29ers and fat-bikes, so its first build took a while, and then it barely got used. I felt guilty about this so built it as a fixed gear...

98+ BoTM BotM October 2021 nominations - 26" wheels and disc brakes

Me neither, but sometimes you just have to go with what's available! I wanted a silver hub to match the rear one I already had, but they were out of stock, so since the rims were blue I thought I'd go red, white and blue. One day the forks might get painted, but for now I just try my best...

I've got one! 😁 Firedfromthecircus's Pace RC104 BritPart singlespeed. Thrown up a wee build thread here.

97 santa cruz heckler finished for now

Interesting decision on the colour choice then 🤔 When I built mine I was lucky the Bombers I had were a pretty good match for the frame I bought! 😆

Great bikes! Looking forward to see how you get on once the COVID has passed! Do you have some Z1s to match the Marz Orange the front end is getting powdered?
