And we complain about having old bikes....

Dry fun at its best. Jim takes no hostages when it comes to spicy refreshments!

    Suntour Microdrive Knowledge.

The MD BB (BSA)' axle is 115 mm long, normal XC Pro is 125 mm. My 2 pence' worth wisdom: get as many XC Pro parts as possible, they're worth the hassle. The thumbies/brake levers (champagne hue) quality/weight/performance-wise aren't matched ever since.

    Nostalgia unchained-NOS Rohloff SLT99s

Overpriced back then, rather pricey now: https://www.kleinanzeigen.de/s-anzeige/nos-rohloff-s-l-99-super-narrow-kette-neu-rennrad-vintage/3058403865-217-5365

Modern BB in retro build (sacrilege!!) - question

Merlin violated-not for the faint hearted

    What is this bike

From a company offering these (Ritchey WCS tubeset with Breezer dropouts, limited to 999 worldwide, this bike is not OEM, mind, I bought it as is), sad to see this heresy, sorry OP...

    Fat Chance Ti 😳

Maybe this is the last period in our lifetime to find that committed buyer while they're still alive... People under 40 just don't get the hype, my sweet summer children🙄

    '91 Team Marin restoration (slow)

Any freezing spray will do do the job, they're usually marked on with the lowest possible temperature - the lower, the better.

    '91 Team Marin restoration (slow)

If the seatpost is stuck, I'd try the freezing method. Chemical bonds are very tight, so you need a proper remedy. Clamp the seatpost into a vice, frame is upside down now. Wrap some sponge material around the seattube where the seatpost stays. Remove BB, and get the strongest freezing spray...

'93-4 (?) Marin Team Issue non-cat spec (sorry, purists) 👀

Derelict I must say, but saveable. If that Ti seat can speak... So I'd give it a cheap but nice powdercoat (black for the forks), some Ti bling from CCP, M735/737 XT or M900 XTR stuff and here's a lightweight weapon for fast singletracks/pub runs. So a proper resto object is this bike. Is the...

How Many Bikes Do You Think You Have Owned Over The Years….?

Can't really tell, but one time they barely fitted in my garage: Funny how these bikes on the pictures above are already a distant memory as they are sold on since. Currently I got about 30-40 framesets and roughly enough parts to build them up. Some "keepers" aren't the perfect fit me for me...

    Anti-theft parts bin sh*tter.

Just don't get offended when some bikethief eventually donate their heist to you out of pity - great results so far!

    Anti-theft parts bin sh*tter.

My go-to town bike is a 26"er city bike, frame from the '60s (gaspipe special edition) saved from the attic of my parents by yours truly at age of 12, thirtysomething years ago. I had it powercoated recently, built from carefully selected parts, and here we go with an unassuming lookin'...
