Yes indeed its rust, actually thats what I would like to clean but I don't know how... Actually the saddle is comfortable and I think quite lightweight... Anyway I would probably change it but not in the top list of my priorities since I have other parts to substitute... :)

But does v-brakes never fail (e.g. in extreme situations with a lot of water)? Can it be used in a more serious XC setup? Why you don't want disk? Any particular reason like weight?

Well i'm not a pro of XC but doesnt a good v-brake do the same as a disk brake? I saw a lot of people saying that they prefer a good v-brake because its lighter... dunno, what u ppl say?

No they don't include v-brake mounts... damn! Since i saw some rear disk brake adapter i thought it exists for V's.

Hi everyone, I'm planning to buy a 2009 Rockshox SID suspension but it doesn't have v-brakes mount. Since I'm kinda new to this, my question is if its possible to apply some kind of v-brake mount to that suspension since i don't wanna buy disk brakes. Regards,
